Lack of adaptation on new markets
Not adapting its business when entering new markets is one of the most common mistakes made by internationally oriented businesses. When a product is successful is does not automatically mean that it is successful on another market. There are many cultures and every culture is different and prefers different kinds of marketing approaches.
There is a range of companies that made these kinds of mistakes. It can even be argued that most of the global firms made a mistake like this at one point. For some companies it had major impact and others could easily overcome the problem. However, problems like these are better to be avoided than to be solved afterwards.
